Muslim Cemetery of Fort Wayne (MCFW)

BMECC is pleased to announce that on Feb 2021, Allen County Board of Zoning approved our proposal to establish a Muslim Cemetery on a 15 acres property. Upon the approval of the project, Allahumdullillah, we have purchased the proposed site and started working on the development and landscaping phase. Proposed cemetery is located at 9226 Hessen Cassel Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46816, just five minutes driving distance from the Masjid Noor ul-Islam. The current project includes the development of approximately 5 acres of the property for 1,500 burial plots including 150 for children and infants. 

Inshallah, we hope to complete the development phase beginning of 2022 and start utilizing immediately. Our goal of the project is to be able to offer free burial lots for Muslims in and around Fort Wayne. While the burial lots are free, there will be a cost associated with the burial process such as gravesite opening and closing, burial vault, and markers. During the initial phase of our learning process, we will be outsourcing most of those services and Inshallah, we will continue to work on cutting those costs to make the most economical process for Islamic burial in the area. While we accept donation toward cost of the cemetery development project, we do not intent to sell or charge for the burial lots. Thus, no reservation or purchasing is necessary to burial at the Muslim Cemetery of Fort Wayne. 

One of the reason for establishing Muslim cemetery is to be able to process the burial within a short period of time and as long as all the services are cleared with the funeral home two hours before the sunset, we hope to accommodate same day burial. The cemetery is accessible during the day-time only with certain exception approved for religious purpose.
